December – Marines of the 646th MSG participated in Good Samaritan drive at a
\nlocal church, packing and loading groceries for those in need. Members also
\nattended annual chapter\/unit Christmas party. Members also helped deliver toys
\nto local Toys for Tots collection station (not eligible for CCA award; toys were
\ncollected by local retailer, toy delivery took less than the required four
\nhours).<\/p>\n
January – Marines of the 646th attended a Star Trek movie marathon at Dejah
\nThoris CO’s home. Members also attended a lunch at a local restaurant in
\nconjunction with members of another nearby chapter, USS Wernher von Braun.<\/p>\n

\nLGen Yawn attended the UCA & UDA College Dance & Cheerleading Championships in
\nOrlando. LGen Yawn preformed 14 hours in volunteer service at Brookside Fire
\nRescue.<\/p>\n

Unit members attended their parent chapter’s monthly meetings on 12\/13\/14 & 1\/10\/15, in Pinellas Park (FL).<\/p>\n
COL Anne Zecca donated platelets at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers (Ocala, FL) on 12\/4\/14, and 12\/18\/14. A triple amount of platelets was drawn each time, to help cancer & leukemia patients with their conditions.<\/p>\n
SFMC reservist Bryan Jones continues to volunteer with a Tampa (FL) area church, in various activities.<\/p>\n
Reservist Jones and COL Zecca volunteered at the 40th Annual British Night Watch, 12\/6-7\/14, honoring St. Augustine’s (FL) time as a British colony during the 18th century. COMO Jones distributed promotional materials to visitors, while COL Zecca helped with a raffle for a painting that was used for promotional posters. Both received certificates of appreciation and mementos for their help.<\/p>\n
Oliver & Dixie Savander participated in Operation Christmas Child at their local church during December 2014. The program sends shoebox-sized gifts and supplies to children overseas.<\/p>\n
