\nof the 646th MSG attended various activities at chapter CO’s home, including
\nStar Trek movie marathon and regular business meeting.<\/p>\n
March: Members of the
\n646th participated with members of the USS Wernher von Braun in the annual St.
\nPatrick’s Day Parade in Huntsville, Alabama. Members of the USS Wernher von
\nBraun attended a lunch hosted by the USS Dejah Thoris\/646th MSG at a local
\nrestaurant in Hartselle, Alabama. Members of the 646th MSG attended a Cub Scout
\nfunction on the USS Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.<\/p>\n

Unit members attended the R2 Summit\/2BDE Muster in Daytona Beach (FL), 3\/27-29.\u00a0 The unit and several of its members were honored with SFMC awards.<\/p>\n

COL Anne Zecca donated platelets at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers (Ocala, FL) on 3\/19.\u00a0 A triple amount of platelets was taken to help cancer & leukemia patients with their treatments.<\/p>\n

645th MSG<\/p>\n
January found me at the Police range sighting in a new Remington 700, .270 rifle with a scope that I’ll be using for hunting deer, boar & bear.<\/p>\n
February was a quiet month. Not much happening.<\/p>\n
March was busy. The 1st week in March found me in a Firearms Training Class with the Police Dept. here in town. Certificate will be posted on the chapter web site & in the chapter newsletter. Myself & 3 members of the chapter headed to the R2 Summit in Daytona Beach Florida from the 27th to the 29th. The 4 of us got together there and did a tour of Kennedy Space Center. As the Region Awards Director I gave out a bunch of awards to the chapters & members of Region 2. I in turn received several Marine awards as did our Unit.<\/p>\n

Feb. 7 Sandwiches and SciFi. Get together with the USS Neptune and talk SciFi of all sorts while eating sandwiches at McAlister’s Deli in Biloxi, MS.<\/p>\n

Mar. 20, 21, 22 Coast Con. Mike Brown assisted Coast Con as their Guest Liason. Don Fallo assisted as the Gaming Room Assistant Director. Other members of the ship (Fleet only) were also on staff. The Neptune had a fan table, and Artemis was set up to run, watched over by Sarah Toball. The Neptune competed in the Iron Fan Party (like Iron Chef), with a table with Trek themed foods all based on Lucky Charms.<\/p>\n
The Neptune also Celebrated their third year, in a small get-together Saturday night.<\/p>\n
