Unit members attended monthly meetings of the parent chapter on 4\/18 and 5\/9, jointly held with USS Victorious in Pinellas Park (FL).<\/p>\n
COL Gregory Fant facilitated a support group discussion on marriage, divorce & healing on 4\/17, at a Christian church in Arlington (VA). The group meets twice a month during the fall, winter, and spring. Fant has worked with this group since 2008. COL Fant also served as a judge at a church community science fair for middle school-age children, held on 4\/18, in Arlington (VA). In addition to judging projects, he interacted with students and encouraged them to continue studying STEM-related subjects. This was the sixth year Fant has served as a judge at this event. He also donated 10 bags of clothing to a local Goodwill center in the Arlington (VA) area on 5\/8. This is an ongoing service project that he encourages others to do, in his other role as STARFLEET Surgeon General.<\/p>\n
BDR Anne Zecca donated platelets at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers (Ocala, FL) on 4\/2, 4\/16, 4\/30 and 5\/22. A triple amount was donated each time, to help cancer & leukemia patients with their treatments. BDR Zecca attended annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Marion County (FL) Veterans Memorial on 5\/26, and networked with local veterans. She also attended the following veterans-related group meetings, as part of her ongoing support of their causes:
