3.07.3.5 Certificates Officer (Ecerts Officer)
This Marine is responsible for creating and sending out electronic
certificates to Marines who:
(1) Are issued awards by authority of any member of the General Staff of
the STARFLEET Marine Corps save TRACOM as they have their own staff
position.
(2) Awards issued by authority of any Brigade OIC of the STARFLEET
Marine Corps, when requested to do so, in writing on the appropriate form.
(3) To maintain an archive of all awards issued, organized by issuing
authority and will make this list available to the issuing authority or
their superior officers when requested.

A candidate for the post of STARFLEET Marine Corps Certificates Officer
must meet the following minimum criteria:
(1) Have regular and reliable email access, such that they will be able
to send out electronic certificates within ten (10) days of the request
for the certificates issuance,
(2) Be in possession of and proficient with such software as to allow
the swift and efficient creation of the required certificates in a
Portable Document File (.PDF) format and to do so to a level of quality
sufficient to do credit to the Corps and STARFLEET. Such standards of
quality will be established by COFORCECOM with the advice of the General
Staff,
(3) Be a member of STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan
Association, Inc. and be identified in the STARFLEET Database as either
an active or Reserve member of the SFMC,
(4) Have passed the following courses from the STARFLEET Academy or the
STARFLEET Marine Corps Academy: (a) Officer Training School (OTS)
[required], Officer Command College (OCC) [preferred but not required]
and Marine Basic Training (PD-10). PD-20 is preferred, but not required.

Good day, Marines.

LGN Joseph C. Dorffner Jr, FORCECOM Electronic Certificates Officer, has
notified me that he plans to step down from this position immediately.
After his many years in SFI and the SFMC he has justly earned his time
of retirement. In the interim, we will be seeking other means of
providing electronic certificates for Forces Command.

Due to  technical difficulties, Tactical Tuesday and Calesthenics had to be cancelled for July. We are attempting to find a new location for Calesthenics, and the place we found had changed its hours.

Becci Bradbury (SFMCR) to LT, Ronald Rozier to MCPT, Danielle-Marie Fant to 2LT.
Unit members attended monthly meeting of the parent chapter on 6/1, jointly held with USS Victorious in Pinellas Park (FL).  Members also joined their parent chapter at a Fourth of July party (7/4) at a member’s home.

Steven Satonick donated clothes & computer printer to local Goodwill in CT on 6/16; total value $70.  He also donated funds to local Easter Seals 6/24.

Anne Zecca donated platelets at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers (Ocala, FL) on 6/5, 6/26, 7/10, and 7/24.  A triple amount was donated each time, to help cancer & leukemia patients with their treatments.  She also helped pack thousands of meals for the relief agency Stop Hunger Now, held on 6/6 at Druid Hills United Methodist Church (Ocala, FL).  Boxes of 30 prepackaged meals (serving six each) were packed for shipment to other areas in the US and overseas.  Other info at:  www.stophungernow.org.

BDR Zecca  also attended the following veterans-related group meetings, as part of her ongoing support of their causes:

July 11th, We helped raise $3,600 for the Boys and Girls Club of St Lucie County by participating in a chili cook off.  We won 2nd place for fundraising.

Meetings, discussed upcoming IC 2015, upcoming conventions and shows…ComicCon currently in progress..myself, Mark Anderson, Alvin Dozier and a few others scheduled to participate in a discussion panel on Sunday August 2 on how Star Trek influenced technology.  Also discussed upcoming Klingon Feast…
